Speak Only After a Full Breathe and a Full Release

One excellent technique to manage stammering and our speech is as below:
  1. Take a full breathe (intake)
  2. Speak immediately with the exhale - only speak at this phase
  3. Release the remaining air
  4. Pause a few seconds and go back to #1
Control and Power
Although it may not look natural but it provides you a great control over your speech. It resists the time pressure others may, knowingly or unknowingly, impose on us. Therefore, it provides you a great sense of control.

Your speech speed is obviously lowered (becomes slower than your mind's speech) because of the breathing part, which is greatly important, so what you say is more powerful and with a deeper and stronger voice sounds more confident and assured.

Also, it automatically reduces the stress level because proper breathing reduces stress.

Don't worry about what others may think of this, they will get used to it! At the end of the day, it'll look better than stammering. If you feel it helps, mention that you're using a breathing technique to manage your speech.

It's so joyful to achieve a sense of control over our speech and communication.

When should you use this technique?

Always!
