Our behaviours, actions and thoughts are mostly results of our subconscious mind and the share of our conscious mind is so small.
In the same way, once you know what idea or habit you'd like to program your mind to, your subconscious mind can be changed via:
- Repetition and practice
- Autosuggestion
- Affirmations
You may not stammer all the time like me; only in certain situations and conditions. That's not what we have chosen to do deliberately, that's what our subconscious mind dictates our body automatically.
My aim is to master The Starfish Technique to be able to control how I speak always, with everyone and everywhere through repetition and practice. It may take years and have gradual improvements but the joy of effortless speech is worth it.
Although 99% of population have taken this gift for granted and may never stammer but they may never understand the great life lessons you have learnt in your journey to recovery.
Yes, you become what you practice and that's simply because practice reprograms your subconscious mind and your subconscious mind is mainly what creates your personality and your life.
