The Ultimate Secret for Fluency and Control

I've tried all the tips in the speech therapy courses but none is affective as this.

I'm now kind of against practising daily like reading from a book, etc because we deceive ourselves that once we spend 20 minutes practising that's OK and we're on the track but that's not true.

The secret lies within the thoughts which happen before the words are produced.

Have you ever noticed in what tone of voice you'd speak/think with yourself?

Once you change that, your speech will have to follow automatically!

This is the summary of my secret:

  • Add a bit of violence:
    • Change the inner tone of voice to be "slightly" more violent, assertive, strong and aggressive in expressing the words.
    • This bit of violence makes you feel more confident when thinking and speaking.
    • I don't mean being violent with people (with people you should always be kind and nice); I mean being a bit more violent with your spoken words.
  • Always start from the inner thoughts/voice:
    • Use this tone to make sentences in your thoughts always and consequently your spoken words.
  • Speak always only after you inhale fully and pause (inner thoughts formed)
  • Visualize this way of speaking
