Modify Block and Slide to Bounce

There are three stammering behaviours:
  1. Block (e.g. <long block> software)
  2. Slide (sssssssssoftware
  3. Bounce (sa sa sa software)
The worst behaviour is block and the most controllable behaviour is bounce.

The aim is to transfer information; Block can stop you from this aim, whereas Bounce does achieve this aim.

Stammerers should work towards modifying their blocks and slides to bounce in which way
  • They will have more control over their stammering.
  • Because they bounce it is self-advertising, which is very effective
  • The other party will have a better feeling when communicating with you in comparison with when you block
  • It helps you to become desensitized about stammering
Next
  • Practice at least for 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening to bounce rather than block or slide
  • You can read a book for a friend
